Executive Coaching

  Become your own Superhero

coaching clients

In short, I coach go-getters. Those living a good life but sense that they can take it to the next level. Those who are not only living their best life but working to help others do the same. More specifically, my practice focuses on coaching those who are:

  • New to a leadership position
  • Leaders in transition
  • Navigating a major life change such as a new job, change in health, new marriage (with step/bonus children involved)
  • Career pivoters
  • Work-life balance seekers
  • Academics new to the ivory tower or seeking a leadership position

My job is to ask the hard questions, be an objective third party who speaks truth to you, and support you with encouragement, accountability and a plan for behavioral, emotional and mental change. Coaching is one of my superpowers. I’ve built a successful career and life that I am absolutely in love with (it wasn’t always that way). Now I coach others to the same level of health, wealth and happiness.

Leadership Circle Profile showing Merideth's relevance to executive coaching

My approach to each client is unique and dependent upon their situation and goals. In the initial consultation, I get a sense of where they are in various areas of life (e.g., work, family, finances, hobbies, health) and where they’d like to be over the next 6-12 months. Often I use a psychological assessment to help understand and get a baseline of how the client thinks and/or how they are perceived by their inner circle.

With a Bachelor’s in psychology, an MBA in human and organizational performance, and a PhD in organizational behavior, I bring both deep and broad knowledge to every coaching relationship. Further, with five years consulting with Deloitte and numerous corporate engagements related to goal setting, workplace environments, and negotiation or conflict resolution, I bring over two decades of experience to my clients’ coaching success. More specifically, I’ve been coaching in higher education for over a decade and for about seven years in the corporate arena.

In addition to education and corporate experience, I also bring other real life experience to my coaching:

  • Being raised by a single mother and a “latch-key kid” at 9
  • Completing two graduate degrees while often single parenting a preschooler and an infant while my then-spouse battled mental health issues
  • Remotely finishing the last three years of a doctoral program (I don’t recommend it but it’s doable!)
  • Navigating a divorce and coming out healthier and happier than ever before
  • Paying off $100k in student loans (yes, that’s an insane amount – long story)
  • Using a research-based approach to finding my new partner and then slowly building a relationship with my three bonus children
